Everything was fine and they were very helpful when Expedia did not send the pass code for the door or tell us our room number. As this site says there were no Hosts available after 5 for check in. WE HAD TO SLEEP IN OUR CAR OVER NIGHT AND WE GOT A PARKING TICKET TO BOOT! I WAS TOLD THAT THIS HAPPENS ALOT WITH BOOKING THROUGH EXPEDIA. WOULD LIKE AN EMAIL TO DISCUSS GETTING REFUND AND COST OF THE TICKET.

Nice communal spaces, very ordinary rooms.

The hotel is ideally located and was a great base for my stay. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with an excellent shower and a very comfortable bed. The scent the hotel uses in the lobby is amazing. Parking was straightforward and conveniently located underneath the hotel. The only downside was the breakfast, which felt expensive for a fairly basic buffet, especially when there are better-value options available locally. Overall, a comfortable and convenient hotel, but I would recommend eating breakfast elsewhere.

I was informed two days before my arrival that the property I had booked had a maintenance issue, and I was offered a different property instead. Although the location was not ideal for my purpose, I had to accept it given the short notice. I was then sent the check-in instructions, but they included only the property name and not the full address. The postal code directed us to a different location. On a rainy night, the Uber driver could not find the property, and we had to call the property management's emergency number before finally obtaining the correct address. The property itself was nice and clean, but the check-in process was poorly handled and caused unnecessary frustration.

The hotel itself is magnificent, sitting on the hillside overlooking the Welsh and English border. From the moment you step in you know you are inside a great hotel and full of history. The team where attentive and ensured we were looked after at check in and throughout. The upgrade was reasonably priced and well worth it having full access to the Signature areas. The signature lounge was impressive and with stunning views. Thank you all for a very enjoyable stay.
