For a hotel of this caliber, I find that explanation unacceptable. A busy weekend should result in increased staffing and preparation—not the removal of basic guest services. More concerning, if guests cannot reliably reach hotel staff by phone, it raises a serious question about what would happen in an urgent situation. I otherwise enjoyed my stay, which makes this particularly disappointing. I strongly encourage management to review staffing, room-service availability, and telephone coverage during peak periods.
