We asked for our room to be cleaned however the same bed sheets were just straightened out, they were not changed. Also the pressure in the shower was an absolute joke! Awful.

The reception and front desk staff were consistently kind and helpful. The location is excellent - very convenient for getting around, with plenty of things to see and do just minutes away. As a solo female traveler, I did find that there wasn’t much within comfortable walking distance of the hotel after about 9 p.m. The hotel does have a cute bar that stays open until around 11, but it felt fairly quiet and not very lively when I was there alone. My only real issue was with the elevators. One was completely out of service during my stay, and the other was not always reliable. Being on the fifth floor, this meant having to use the stairs multiple times, which was quite inconvenient.

Great quiet location but in walking distance to all attractions. Friday and attentive staff throughout our stay. Lots of choice for breakfast both hot and cold items and a variety of drinks. Room was clean and comfortable. Lovely touch of snacks and tea/coffee facilities in the room. A super stay during our short time in Edinburgh.

Was met with a warm friendly welcome and staff stayed friendly throughout. Breakfast was great, loads of choice. Room was clean and spacious and bed very comfortable. Hotel was well positioned to visit the HMY Brittania and close to tram stop for easy access to the city centre.
