Costa Rica Beach Vacations

We had an amazing time. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The casino was small but still a lot of fun and they had a great happy hour. The hotel was beautiful and the pool. We had an ocean view balcony and it was so worth it. The bar by the pool had amazing drinks and good food. The service everywhere across the hotel was great. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.

This resort is shabby for their advertised five-star rating. The food is mediocre, the portion sizes are very small, and you're constantly harassed by asinine resort rules that make no sense. The resort and rooms are run down. The toilets are cheap, the bathrooms need caulking, the baseboards are broken and cracked, the finish on the doors is old and worn out. The air conditioning is extremely weak in the common areas. There aren't enough fans outside. You can't really get breakfast after 10:00 a.m., and if you do you're expected to wear a shirt with sleeves even though you're in the tropics trying to have breakfast. The staff is generally not well trained in hospitality. If you get one of the preferred rooms, you get access to a bar with higher end liquor, which sounds great but it's really annoying when you realize that instead of just having a wristband to indicate that you're allowed to drink the good stuff, you have to hike up the hill and go back to your little secluded bar to replenish your drinks. So unnecessary. They have a shuttle service to take you up and down the hills and get around the resort, but the shuttle take so long that you regret not just walking by yourself. On two occasions I called the shuttle and it simply never showed up.

The staff at Parador were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel welcome from day one. We loved everything about our visit, from the delicious food and beautiful pools to the incredible local wildlife throughout the property. Being surrounded by Costa Rica’s natural beauty made the experience truly special. There was always something to see, and we loved having the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife right where we were staying. The location was also fantastic. We could easily walk to the beach, and it was just a short ride to additional beautiful beaches and the small downtown area. Quepos was also only a quick cab ride away. The staff made exploring the area easy and stress-free by offering great recommendations, helping us understand where to go, and making sure we were headed in the right direction. We always felt comfortable and safe coming and going. Parador gave us exactly what we hoped for from our Costa Rican vacation—a beautiful setting, incredible hospitality, great food, nature, relaxation, and easy access to explore the area. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Costa Rican getaway.

We had a great stay at Tango Mar. The owner always greeted us each day to see how we were or how our day was. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! I took advantage of the spa and had an incredible massage. Gorgeous views of the ocean right out your window and the multiple pools to cool off in with the heat. Swimming beaches were a short drive away if you wanted to swim in the ocean.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Very nice place to visit. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner times and meals were great. Dessert table was boring since same dessert options we provided for the entire week of our stay. The bar and snack bar were terrible and could use some improvement.

Amazing property, very helpful waitstaff, inconsistent front desk. Food was great, location was very very very quiet. If you are looking for a stay where you don’t leave the property, this is it!

Amazing experience. Exceeded expectations

The views are unmatched. The staff were attentive, friendly & helpful. The property need allot of love and updated. Rooms are clean and the pools immaculate.

The hotel seems recently upgraded / remodeled. The rooms were great, food amazing, and the staff very friendly. It could use a bit more water activities and organization. But generally, we had a very pleasant stay here. Will come back!
