Everything was great. But i didnt like that why were trying to upcharge me for eatting a snacm from their basket. Saying it was due to a minimum fee. They allowed me to just pay for the signle item, but something like this shouldnt of even been a issue. It was from the female at the front desk. The other staff were very kind and all the amenities were great for what it was. Would stay again if they didnt try to surprise me with trying to get more money out of me.

Rooms are not well maintained but are clean. Front desk personnel are very helpful and friendly most of the staff are very nice. Except the ones that control the pool entrance and not to mention the manager. As a business owner I would be very disappointed to have someone like him representing my business in any way. He’s high-handed and arrogant. The restaurant staff is always friendly the food is okay. Breakfast buffet is fresh and delicious. The hotel has a high potential they just need to renovate it.

Room was okay, the place is beautiful; Antigua is magical and the hotel is nice and beautiful everywhere you go. The issue is service needs work. I was asked to leave my ID for a lent umbrella, leaving me with no ID in case police stops me, I’m paying well over two hundred per night and they don’t trust me with my umbrella? Could ask me to leave my room key so I don’t forget the umbrella or even make me sign a “loose it and pay for it ticket” ; but requiring me leave my ID was a discomfort. I think the staff is polite, but need some service training, I asked for tips on restaurants, favorite ruins within the city to visit, areas to walk to; all with multiple staff members and answers were always lukewarm “it’s all good” “anywhere is fine.

Rooms and property are beautiful

Be careful what you book here. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and our room was directly across from an active construction site with hammering and sawing noises coming through the walls all afternoon. We also had no exterior windows, only a window into the interior hallway / courtyard so we had to keep the blinds closed the whole time. It is very conveniently located for the airport but because of this you also hear planes landing overhead all night, so definitely pack ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
