This place was amazing. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. The property is gorgeous, and right on the water with private beach, kayaking and boating available. The rooms have spectacular views over the lake and the staff help with transportation from airport and to visits Tikal. This place is a gem!

beautiful property with stunning views. Limited underwhelming food options, Overpriced food and drink, 15% gratuity added to everything plus unknown taxes added to bill at the end. The "free" continental breakfast is a small plate of unappetizing fruit plus a couple slices of toasted bread with butter. No spa but I may have been able to book a massage, no work out/gym facilities -- so it was not as advertised. Also -- the check in clerk could have been more helpful with directions and information about the property/getting around the property, getting to the pool at the top of the property (I learned that they will call you a driver if you ask -- its a very steep not short hike and that you can have food /drink delivered up there on my own) they put two large tv screens downstairs for World Cup games which was nice but: the tv's were behind the pool table and foose ball, table and kids were running around playing during the games making it a bit less than ideal No television in the rooms. If you have ANY mobility issues do not go here. The stairs and steep inclines are extremely difficult to navigate.

Beautiful room and hotel grounds. The bed was so comfortable. Felt like staying in a French Chateau. They have a wonderful rooftop deck with an amazing view of the volcano and an underground bar that felt like a speakeasy. No detail was spared n this lovely hotel. Highly recommend!!

The stay was adequate and the SPA service recommendable as always (this is the second time we've been here), but this time around we did leave w/ a bitter taste. My wife had an unfortunate incident during the night of monday 7/6 when a hotel staff entered our room when my wife was in the bathroom and unpresentable. We brought this up w/ the night-shift staff in the reception as well as the manager on duty the next day, but we didn't receive any convincing feedback that this unfortunate incident was going to be addressed in the future. Furthermore, I wasn't expecting any type of compensation, but it would've been well received given that it's not common for a hotel personnel to barge in our room at night even though it was by accident. The hotel needs to review their internal protocol and understand that a courtesy room service at night time is a good initiative, but also risky given that it is during sensitive hours.
