The front desk handled luggage forwarding for me as well, and I love that the restaurant congestion and the use of the laundry machines is visible from the TV home page in the rooms. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices and I really love their deep soaking bathtubs! This was my second time staying here and I think it’s super convenient to Hakata Station so I’ll likely be booking with them again. (2,034 reviews) The hotel lobby is impressive, featuring towering bookshelves, comfortable lounge seating, and a thoughtfully curated collection of Japanese books for guests to enjoy. It is a highly Instagrammable space and creates a strong first impression. The staff are generally helpful, particularly with luggage storage before and after check-out, as well as assisting with calling a taxi to the airport. However, a more prompt and proactive welcome would enhance the overall guest experience. The rooms are indeed small and basic. While the bookshelf-themed wallpaper adds some character, the overall design could be improved, even considering the limitations of the circular architectural layout. Ventilation in the rooms could be better, and the rooms would benefit from a fresher smell. A humidifier is provided instead of the standard air purifier commonly found in many hotels. The bathroom feels cramped, and in one of the rooms there was a noticeable smell of urine and mould during showering. This may be due to the shower curtain or wall surfaces and detracts from comfort and cleanliness. In terms of location, the hotel is approximately a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station when carrying luggage, which is manageable. However, it is located on the opposite side of the station, making it about a 25-minute walk to Canal City and the Aeon Express supermarket. (802 reviews) Well the bed was comfy, and the sheets were warm. However when I checked in to my room, there were strands of female hair on the floor in which I informed the front desk and they sent someone to vacuum immediately. Unfortunately I did not check the bed and found one strand of long female hair on the bed. I did also complain about the loud buzzing sound the mini fridge and I assume there was nothing they could do about it. Other than that, the location of the hotel was in a good spot to go to multiple konbinis as well as a train station. What could be improved in my opinion is the cleaning staff. I would also like to note that out of the 5 hotels I’ve stayed at this month, your hotel was the only one who did not help me fill out the luggage forwarding sheet. Of course I’m not entitled for them to fill it out for me, but it would have been a nice gesture.
