Cayman Islands Adventure Vacations

The Shangri La is an absolute gem of a B&B. We selected it because we were looking for a quiet place far from the large hotels . What we actually found was a welcoming home, not just a functional accommodation. The facilities are great (hammock, pool, hot tub, beach towels etc). The rooms are very clean and comfortable, yet also private. The fully equipped kitchen is accessible at all hours, and breakfast on the deck is in a very peaceful setting. All these are important considerations in a relaxing place to stay . But what made the Shangri La truly memorable is the folks who run it. We have rarely had stays where we felt so genuinely welcome. Rose, who manages the operation, is especially accommodating. Our flight arrival was well before check in time, and we stopped by just in case our room was ready. It wasn’t, but we waited in the comfortable lounge and they made up the room very quickly. We would have been fine to just leave our bags and return later, but this way we were able to settle in and unpack. Throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble for Rose, and we recommend the Shangri La very highly.

Everything and everyone was great! Very close restaurant close by, being able to use the Westin amenities was wonderful too! Definitely recommend!

We had an outstanding stay at the Westin. It was magical. The staff was friendly, the drinks and food were all outstanding and the SUNSETS WERE AMAZING! Only complaint was that the room smelled a bit musty but that’s pretty typical on an island. We will be back!

The only reason I didn't give them 5 Stars its because of the Beach Chairs. They are horrible

It was my first time in the Cayman Islands, and I overall enjoyed it. My boyfriend and I enjoyed staying at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort. Our check-in and check-out process was smooth. It was my birthday, so my boyfriend had the room decorated, which was great. They also had a cake for me. The restaurants food was good as well. We also enjoyed the location, right by the beach and within walking distance of shops and other restaurants. We booked an excursion while we were there, and the attendant was very helpful. Everyone at the hotel was great. All in all, it was a good experience. We noticed that Cayman is a quieter island, which is exactly what I wanted for my birthday. We both said we would come again and stay at this hotel.

We stayed on the end condo on the ground floor. It was very clean and well stocked with comfy furnishings and amazing views! Claudette was so kind and helpful in the office along with the other girl. We sat in the screened in porch and watched the ocean and was able to snorkel right outside our condo. We will certainly stay again! The only minor negative was that the West end is pretty far away from restaurants and shopping so we took the public bus for those things.
