Great hotel choice close to Kolkata airport. The hotel is tucked away on an inner road which is good as no traffic noise but also hard for taxis to locate. At check-in, Ms. Puja kindly upgraded me to the suite room without my prompt. Breakfast and the special Bengali lunch was excellent. Service at the restaurant was fabulous. The hotel is rather dated and the quality of room is average given that it is dated but a comfortable stay overall. I would return back to the hotel.

Our experience at the Taj was excellent. The property is well maintained, and the rooms were spacious and well-lit. There was a minor issue with housekeeping occasionally missing towel sets, but it was easily resolved with a single phone call. We were particularly impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Udham Bose and Prasanto from the kitchen deserve special mention for their exceptional service and attentiveness. Everyone we interacted with was courteous, polite, and welcoming, which made our overall stay truly enjoyable.
