The front desk staff are all super friendly and helpful, who really made me feel at home. The amenities are excellent: the coca leaves readily available to eliminate high altitude symptoms, and the drinking water station with unlimited refill is such a great gesture for the wellbeing of the customers. Other detailed services, like providing slippers, gives the message of care! The room is also wonderful - clean, well proportioned, bright. The lobby is comfortable as well as artfully decorated. It was truly a great experience staying at the MET Hotel. Will definitely stay there again when I come back to La Paz!!! (233 reviews) The room itself was very good and comfortable, and once checked in, the stay was pleasant. However, the pre-check-in experience was not ideal. We arrived early in the morning due to a last-minute itinerary change and were told early check-in would cost $70, which we were fine with. The issue was the lack of communication — we were asked to wait without being told how long, while traveling with a child. After waiting about 15 minutes with no update, the manager attended to other guests, and only after we mentioned canceling was availability checked and a room assigned shortly after. Extra fees and waiting are understandable, but clearer communication, especially when traveling with a child, would have made a big difference.
