Barcelona Kid friendly Vacations

It was a great location for visiting anything in the Gothic Quarter or to shop and sit outside and eat. Centrally located and easy to get anywhere. We had good communication with the owners and the apartment was very clean. We loved sitting out on the small balcony and watching all the people

Nice clean apartment with a balcony and annuities. Very good area near las Ramblas and restaurants, near the beach, very accessible to many of Barcelone’s famous sites. Unfortunately, we saw cucarachas in the lobby at night, they did dispose of them. Garbage and recycling bins are just outside the main door, that’s a big issue

The location above the Sants train station where the high speed trains operate was excellent! We took a pleasant taxi ride to the hotel early in the morning we disembarked from our cruise. For a small charge, we were able to go directly to our room, rest, and spend the remainder of the day touring Barcelona. There is an elevator in the hotel lobby that goes directly down to the train station beneath, where we boarded our high speed train to Paris. We were able to check the layout, gates, boarding protocol, etc. ahead of time. Space flight theme is carried out beautifully throughout the hotel. We loved our room on the top floor. We had fun just staying in this beautiful hotel! The staff was so helpful and friendly and accommodating. Most enjoyable hotel on our entire trip.

The staff at the front desk were amazing! We had booked two rooms and even though it wasn't check in time the first room was ready so they allowed us to check in early with that room and that way we could get changed and place our luggage there. Our other room was directly across the hall which made it extremely convenient. Two out of three of our beds were very comfortable. I happened to get the one that was lopsided. They just need to flip it to get it more evenly worn. That was room 324 by the way and it's the first bed when you walk in. It's early enjoyed the mini bar which had two waters and two juices that we thoroughly enjoyed and then utilized it to store our water bottles or leftovers in. Clothes storage was sufficient and we could store our luggage on the very top which was perfect. There were so many walkable options for breakfast and even amazing dinner options! Public transportation was definitely easy to find nearby but we tended to use taxis because we were short on time and it was extremely convenient! Even though there was construction next door they stopped at a reasonable time. Relaxing waiting area on the first floor. Great price overall and we will definitely plan a return visit!

Hotel staff- a five star should have welcome drinks or a station available. Staff should be welcoming you and door should be opened. None of this happened at this hotel. I also didnt forsee the staff telling my children to not touch the fountain in the hall- they are kids and the fountain is not on (why is it not on its a 5 star) . Pools in pictures are in neighbor properties which you have to pay for-the pool in this hotel is a single pool. Hotel is quite far from city centre and the shuttle they claim is always booked-you have to reserve far in advance at a specific time Lots of towels available. Beautiful outdoor space and dining available. Room- furniture needs updating. Bathroom was great. Room was large enough for our family of 4 but for a 5 star hotel i would expect something a bit fancier for decor and furniture. Food is pricy- a burger 25 euro -but delicious coffee-5b euro all in all housekeeping was good and hotel was nice but i would only give it a 4 star. Staff could be a bit friendlier

When we reached at 10.30 pm on the day of our check in, the staff advised us that hotel is over booked and cannot offer you desired booked rooms. They gave us one room at A 47 and second 441 on 4th floor. A47 room was filled with cigarette smell. The next morning we told them about the smell and requested for the rooms as per our booking. The front office manager Marc advised us that we will shift your luggage to the new rooms and leave upto us. We went for excursions and when we came back in the evening, they gave us again rooms on different floors. We strongly raised the issue of such a bad service. Then they gave us 605 room and when we went there, that room was being used by some other guests and it was so embarrassing. We rushed to the front desk and they apologized and asked us to wait. This is the second day of our stay and we were going through hell. They again gave us new room when we advised them that forget about castle view rather give us rooms together as we are the family of four with grown up kids. This treatment at the hands of Intercontinental is so horrendous and a stigma on such a big brand. We are deeply disappointed and our stay at Barcelona has been spoiled and we feel so bad. We are Expedia customers for such a long time and we demand answers from you. Thank you. Saurabh
