Yorkshire Luxury Vacations

Hotel is good but nothing special. In my opinion it was seriously overpriced for what I received.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great location!

Four friends on a weekend city break. Both our rooms were set up as twin beds as requested. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, as females we do like to be able to spread out make up and hair styling equipment, there was no mirror on the desk. We have stayed in many hotels and this is the first time we have come across this. Breakfast was fantastic, the choice, quantity and quality of food on offer was excellent and surprisingly good value. I must highly commend your reception staff who went above and beyond in helping one of our party who suffered a fall outside the hotel. Offering ice packs, wheelchair, escorting us to the railway station. Their kindness and help made a very difficult situation for our friend more comfortable. Our friend was eventually diagnosed with a fracture of the ankle later that evening. I would more than recommend The Queen Hotel, its location, value for money, fantastic food and decor. But above all else - the staff, you looked after us so well.

Definitely a 5 star B&B. Lovely big room with terrace seating outside, overlooking the sheep and guinea fowl in the fields. Loads of parking. Very clean and well presented. The owners have pretty much thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and feel homely. Breakfast, with loads of choice, is cooked freshly to order in the area that serves as a bistro on several evenings in the week. We ate at the bistro - 'Feather and Beak' on one occasion and the food was outstanding. The owners and staff are very pleasant and helpful. In fact, Expedia somehow made a mistake and booked us in to a room for 3 nights when it was only available for 2, and the owners managed to juggle things around to accommodate us. Excellent all round.
