« We had a fantastic stay at John’s home on Great Sacandaga Lake. The house is small but has everything you need. Very clean and tidy. There’s a beautiful view of the lake directly from the house and the access to the lake is great. You have to cross the street for the access point but there’s a flat grassy area with a fire pit right on the bank. Would definitely stay here again! »

« The property was in a word: lovely. You can tell a lot of work went into renovating this place. My friend and I absolutely loved just chilling on the front porch each night. We meant to have a fire in the back, but we never got around to it. There was plenty of wood provided though, which was fantastic, as you can't bring firewood from out of state. « The cabin is quiet and serene as described. But, please be aware of several things. 1. The “coin laundry” is not on site and the local laundromat hours are limited. 2. There is no foil, Saran Wrap, Tupperware or storage containers for leftovers, zip locks/bags, or cooking oil. Salt and pepper are the only spices on site. « The house is excellent! great layout for groups that do not need to be together all the time. The main house has an open layout so your group can gather, but many separate areas to find quiet time. « Directly on the lake, you can walk out onto your own private peninsula, fish (I caught two bass in ten minutes), or just enjoy the lounge chairs or couples swing while gazing at the pristine lake or soaking up the fire we made in the brand new fire pit.
