« A gem amongst the trees! Terrific stay for a long weekend! It is what you make of it — relaxing in your room or on the numerous patio spaces, or in the library, or in the lobby! Swimming and kayaking! We took a guided ride on the brand new pontoon boat (with a bartender and restroom on board) and that was one of my favorite parts. I had already been charged by the Vrbo host, but when I arrived at Stonewall Resort, I was told there was no card on file and that I would need to pay again. It appeared that Stonewall needed to process payment through the host rather than charge me directly.I tried explaining to the Stonewall staff that a third party was handling the payment, but they were unable to verify or locate that...

« Room was just as pictured and described on line. Everything was clean and room was well stocked with everything I needed. Owners were in constant contact to make sure I didn't need anything. Great Wi-Fi service in room. Close to Elkins but far enough away to be in the country. For those that like to fish you can walk to a great trout stream which is just over the bank from your room. « Unfortunately, I did not ask, but the room was on the second floor up a flight of stairs, and I have mobility impairments, so it was difficult accessing the room. Otherwise everything was good and communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. »
