Fairmont Waterfront’s was the perfect location for me. It is only a quick 5-10 minute walk from the Sky train station coming from the airport. The staff was friendly and welcoming from check-in, housekeeping, service, bar, valet. The rooms are well kept and comfortable. Our TV didn’t work in our room and we were immediately moved into another room with an upgrade from our original booking. Right next door, there was a convenient food court and a drug store.

Overall our stay was good. The hotel is nice and location is great. My only complaints would be that there was hair in the shower and about half an hour after we checked in and were settled in our room, guest services knocked on the door and basically walked right in. Luckily we had our pants on when they came in. They knocked once, announced “guest services”, and came right on in without even giving us a chance to respond. Housekeeping did the same at 9:00 am the next morning. I had gone to grab a coffee and left my wife in the room. She was in the bathroom with the door open and housekeeping just came right in.

Property is in a great location. The rooms were clean. The rooms were noisy though. Every night we were woken by people slamming their doors, room service loudly delivering food at 2 a.m. or helicopters landing outside at 4 a.m. on the waterfront helipad. When I called to order breakfast right before bed, I was told that I couldn't. I needed to find the door order and place that instead. We finally found that in the room and placed it, but then didn't receive the banana brulee oatmeal that was listed on the breakfast menu. It was just plain oatmeal. I guess the door menu was different than the normal menu, but that wasn't clear. Would've preferred to order on the phone, so I could ask those questions, but room service insisted that wasn't an option. Seemed strange. Overall, we had a good stay, but probably wouldn't stay here again because of the noise factor.

We had just gotten off a cruise at 8:30am and came to this hotel. I was not feeling well from a cough and cold. I had my head down at a table and one of the staff , younger girl asked if I was ok. I said I didn’t feel well. She went to her manager and asked if they could get our room ready faster. That meant the world to me. What a caring staff member. Everyone there was very nice.
