« Stay was peaceful. Front door could use blinds or curtains it was a little creepy at night. Hot tub had leaves and such it could have been cleaner. And firepit outside was not functional, out of propane or something and we didnt feel like dealing with it to ask about fixing it we just didnt spend as much time outdoors as we would have had it worked. Bed frame also moved a lot on the hardwoods very creaky. Needs a rug under it or more heavy frame. Overall good experience. »

« I had such a wonderful time here, enjoying the peaceful river view and sunrise over the mountains each morning! The tiny house was great, very cozy and had everything I needed for an extended stay. I had a few friends stay with me some nights and we were comfortable, though it would be tight for more than 2 people for a longer stay. The farm stand down the road was a great find too, as was Todd Mercantile. I would happily stay here again! »

« This was a wonderful place to stay. Although it is off-grid it does have a mini fridge, A/C and a normal toilet (the toilet is located in it's own building attached to the main bedroom but is private and not inconvenient at all). The VRBO is on the owners land but is still secluded and very peaceful. We did not see anyone else while we were there and it definitely felt like we had the place to ourselves.At night we watched the fireflies and the the stars. Such a perfect spot to unwind. « Clean, everything we needed for sure. Had issues with tv but they sent out someone and fixed it within a very reasonable timeframe. Nice place to relax over spring break with the kids. Ride up is a bit rough if you get carsick! We solved that by staying put and enjoying the cabin. Bad squeak in master from upstairs when kids are moving around. That’s the only negative. Highly recommend! »

« The cabin was beautiful with an amazing view of Grandfather Mountain! Our hosts were so kind to let us check in early and very responsive to the one question we had. We loved the hot tub, the kitchen was well appointed, and the house was very clean and comfortable.
