Hotel location was very ideal for shopping to nearby high end malls. Hotel was clean and the staff were attentive and friendly. Amenities like the spa room was huge and nice....enjoyed our time there.

Disappointing 5 star hotel - understaffed and dirty spa Pros: very convenient location in the heart of Xinyi district in Taipei. Room is a good size. Cons: I was first given a room that had a very strong disinfectant smell. Complained to the front desk and was given an upgraded room. The storage area in the men’s spa room was very moldy and smelly, which is not what a 5 star hotel should have. Given these two things which I’ve never encountered in the five star hotels I’ve stayed at before, and considering the room price, I will not be recommending this hotel since there are many other alternatives in the area.

5 star price with 3 star quality. From the moment we stepped out of the car, the arrival experience lacked warmth. The doorman who opened our car door did not greet us warmly and seemed entirely disinterested, as if he just wanted to get the job done without any hospitality or a simple smile. The room itself felt dated and cramped, particularly the bathroom, which was far too small for two people. Furthermore, it lacked a bathtub—something we fully expect from a luxury establishment. The shower experience was incredibly disappointing; on our first night, the overhead shower had low water pressure and was barely lukewarm. While the hand shower worked slightly better on the second night, it still fell short of expectations. The bed was equally frustrating. The mattress is of low quality and lacks proper support; every time my husband turned around, the movement woke me up. The only plus i get from this hotel is the location. Very conveniently located within shopping district. From the initial arrival to the restaurant service and housekeeping, nothing about this property reflects a 5-star standard. It felt much closer to a 3-star hotel. This will certainly be our last time staying here.

This is the first time that I had stayed in Taipei in a longer period of time! And I am impressed by the Conceige staffs very quickly to attend my luggage packing needs! Really, very impressed that they have prepared the packing tapes and ropes in the counter of Conceige, ready for the hotel guests if they need👍👍

Great location and modern refurbishment/facilities. Could have rated higher if not for certain details, ie one of the the wall socket had loose connection so I couldn’t charge my laptop with a special adapter, the iron wasn’t working and had to be replaced.

Executive Club Lounge does not open till 10:00am. No breakfast staples - only coffee, tea, juices, alcohol (!!) Corner Suite - poor layout. Plug outlets at most impractical spots - none in the living room area. Outlets placed on wall by the desk not functional, and did not work. Plug outlets in bedroom were inside the drawer of only one bedside table. When you closed the drawer the wire dislodged, but not closing the drawer would be unsafe for getting out of the bed. Poor lighting in vanity area. Loud music late into the night. Hotel is old and needs retrofitting for current day standards.
