Across the street from base area/Gondola Transit Center to town, restaurants, pubs or grocery store Knoll Lot music festivals walk-In/walk-out Coin operated laundry in the building Bike racks on the property (right outside building) During the summer, you are across the street with access to the beach, biking and hiking trails, the roller coaster and other activities at the base of the mtn. No Smoking or Pets Allowed The West is one of the best rental property locations in Steamboat, right across the street from base area/Gondola Transit Center. This two-floor loft with lots of windows and great natural light, lives like a 1 bedroom, and is very nicely. The open living area features valued ceilings, a rock fireplace, ample, comfortable seating and scenic views from the dining table that seats up to 7\. There is also 4 bar stools at the kitchen counter. The fully stocked kitchen has everything you will need to make a meal. Wine aficionados will love the wine cooler. Kick back and relax on the sofa and/or club chair, warm up by the gas fireplace and watch a show, movie or game on the large flat screen TV. There is a king sized Murphy bed in the living area. The full bathroom with a tub/shower combo is right off of the living area. Upstairs is the bunk room with two full beds, a twin bed and another flat screen TV (stairs are steep and might not be suitable for some children). There is plenty of storage in drawers and on shelves throughout the unit. Most mountain residences, including this property, do not have air conditioning. Fans are provided for your comfort. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all. Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known. Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. There is a standing air cooler which the tube has to connect on window. It kept falling out and wasn’t cooling the condo well. At night we had to turn it off due to the noise which is very inconvenient and even though we opened windows it didn’t cool it off well. The murphy bad was inconvenient. We had to leave it out the entire time of our stay and so we weren’t able to use the couch and the extra room as a living room. There was no closed closet only metal shelf. So it looked quite messy with all our clothes hanging openly and their bedding stuff. There were loft with bunk beds we didn’t even use. The photos show a patio with natural grasses, boulders and privacy. We were on the 2nd floor with no balcony. construction was a few hundred feet from our windows as a new complex is in progress. Parking is easy and was readily available during our stay. This unit is cozy and has some updates. One item I would note is that the sleeping area (loft) is accessed up a very steep set of stairs, which isn’t totally apparent from the pictures. There are handles on the wall and ceiling to help you get up and down, which was good. We were with our young daughter and my mom, and they had difficulty using the stairs (the reason for the 4 star instead of 5 star rating). It was really nice to have the Murphy bed in the main living area to accommodate those who can’t use the stairs. The fridge is a little loud and the dishwasher is very loud (don’t run while you try to sleep) but everything works well. The management company was responsive before and during the trip, and helped us with some recommendations. The condo was clean, spacious, and I found myself often wishing that I lived here. The location is a five minute walk to the base of the ski slopes, and an equal amount of time driving to get to grocery stores and restaurants.
