"Worth the stay"

"Extremely unprofessional service and questionable billing practices. The front desk staff (Rachel and Kay) failed to handle a guest dispute appropriately, exacerbating the situation rather than resolving it. After being instructed by Kay to cancel via a third party, I was wrongly charged $441.84 for a stay that was not permitted, along with a surprising extra $75 fee. The service here is highly discriminatory and unhelpful. Do not trust this establishment with your booking."

"OMG!! When I pulled in the parking lot I immediately regretted my decision. Granted I expected the property to have wear and tear being as close to the water as it is and because of it being located in historic Charleston, SC. Well let me say that would have been great compared to what I saw and experienced. Let me share. 1. The front desk staff barely grunted a hello and were happy to ignore the booked guest without hesitation. 2. When we walked into the room the smell was horrendous. So much so I had to use air freshner while in the room and constantly burn a scented candle just to be able to tolerate that said smell. Yes you guessed it we tried to stay out all day and most of the night until we could barely keep our eyes opened. 3. One day the cleaning staff literally decided not to clean our room and the day they did decide to clean they put soiled sheets on the bed. But the grand topper was number 4. Which is the worst of all things to happen the toilet flooded andwe had to call the staff yes the came and left a plunger sitting in a grocery bag under the bathroom sink. I checked out and tell the front desk my experience and she asked if I told the font desk. I'm like Girlll. If other hotels were not booked we would have left. Take your thousand plus dollars and go somewhere else.Even if you voice your concerns you get a dry "Oh I'm sorry." DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL. Runnn!! Yep False Advertising at its finest!!"

"Desde el checking fue muy mal servicio ya habia avisado quw llegariamos en la madrugada, era para dormir solo unas 5 horas, y tuvimos que esperar 20min despues de la llegada porque "supuestamente " el sistema estaba caido, olia muy fuerte a Marihuana , senti la muchacha noa atendió fue muy grosera. La habitacion no tenia javon,estaba el toilet sucio con pelos, agua o nose que en el suelo y miy sucio el piso. Podrian bajar los precios acordes a las condiciones, toallas muy gastadas....en fin. Nada que ver con lo que se en la foto de internet. "

"Enjoyed the location. Staff friendly and helpful. My room had a bad smell maybe due to 4 legged guests. I was offered a new room. Overall I would stay again. I felt safe as I was traveling solo."

"Online it says “cats and dog allowed.” My partner and I drove 8 hours to have a weekend in Charleston, and when I went to check in and mentioned having a cat, the front desk woman immediately shook her head and said “no ma’am, no cats.” Despite point out that I booked this place specifically for this reason, she said the owner of this particular location does not allow cats. The website needs to be updated ASAP - my partner and I were scrambling to find a last minute place with a reasonable price because of this!"
