"This is a great hotel but…..the window in our room faced another part of the building with a little alleyway. The employees had recliners out and every morning around 4:30 or 5 they were out there laughing and being loud. The staff seemed understanding and said they would say something. But I wanted to at least look out a window and see a hillside or nature. Not a building that blocked everything. If you stay here make sure to ask if your room will face the building or be able to see nature."

"Great location and beautiful room with windows looking down the historic main street. Two small things kept me from giving it 5 stars. One, the bathroom was very small, which by itself is fine but they just didn't have it well appointed to make good use of what space they had. And two, the hallway smelled strongly of cat urine. No smell in the room, but maybe those historic hallway carpets need to go."

"The front desk clerk was so nice and helpful when we checked in. She explained things well. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and supplied with everything you need. We have stayed here several times and like the service and the location is close enough to downtown Deadwood that you can walk to other places."
