Breakfast, the bar and common spaces seemed worse for wear than the last time. All the booking sites and their website say they have a shuttle (which they did last time). After checking in and paying we were told they no longer have shuttle service. If we would have known that prior to paying we would have moved to a different hotel in Deadwood. Not having that changed our trip as it is one of the reasons we chose the Blackstone. Bathroom needs to be updated, and beds are a few years past replacement. If you are used to red roof in’s or cheap city hotels you will fit right in. Breakfast had expired food out. The property was mostly quiet excepts the aged window unit that made strange noises. The hot tubs were a nice treat after a long day although one wasn’t filled and the second one we couldn’t get the lights or jets to turn on. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a normal continental style. Unit had everything we needed microwave, fridge, tv, hangers, and comfortable bedding. WiFi was fast and I was able to get work done on downtime. Love the location (down the road from deadwood).
