The pace here is relaxed, focusing on beach life and enjoying the natural beauty.

For couples seeking a tranquil getaway, staying near Las Teresitas Beach is ideal. You can easily spend your days relaxing on the sand, swimming in the clear waters, and enjoying picturesque sunsets. The area offers a sense of seclusion while still being close enough to Santa Cruz for an evening out or a day of exploring the city's attractions.

Families will also find this area particularly suitable due to the calm, shallow waters of Las Teresitas Beach, which are superb for children. There's ample space for building sandcastles and playing by the sea.

The best time to visit San Andrés is generally during the dry season, from December to May, when you'll experience the most consistent sunshine and pleasant temperatures.

This period offers excellent conditions for enjoying the beach and outdoor activities. You can expect warm, sunny days with average temperatures around 25-28°C (77-82°F) and lower humidity. It's ideal for those looking to relax on the white sands of Spratt Bight or explore the vibrant coral reefs through snorkelling or diving.

For travellers looking for a quieter experience, the shoulder months of May and early June can be a good option. The weather remains very agreeable, but the island tends to be less crowded than during the peak winter holiday periods. This allows for a more relaxed pace and potentially better deals on accommodation.
