Hotels in Depot District, Lubbock

"I have no issues with the staff as the front desk people attended to us extremely well. What I have an issue with is the room itself. I felt incredibly uncomfortable with how disgusting the room was. The entire place smelled of cigarettes, there was a bag covering the smoke detector which I assume was so whoever was in there before could smoke. We found stains on the blankets, and they looked very unwashed so we did not even use them. But the bathroom was absolutely the worst part. There was mold growing on the wall, the towels had holes in them, and we found what looked like either extremely short curly hair or hair from private parts all over our towels. We only stayed one night to pass by so I can’t complain too much, however I will absolutely NOT be staying there again."

"We arrived at the hotel around 2am, but booked about 8 hours prior. When I walked inside to check in, the clerk looked disheveled like I woke him up. He had food crumbs and stains on his shirt and overall had a very unprofessional appearance. After I checked in, I went to go park our vehicle. There were no available parking spots in the entire parking lot, which is shared between 2 hotels and an event center. To clarify, I don't mean there were no nearby spots. I mean every single spot was occupied. I'm disabled so generally prefer handicap spots and of the few handicap spots there, only 1 person had handicap plates. I went back inside to tell the clerk and his response was I could park in the fire zone or behind the OTHER hotel in a sketchy dark dirt lot next to run down apartments. Which I of course was not doing either of those things. I told him I wanted to cancel my room and I'd go somewhere else. He said that's fine, but we won't be giving you a refund because you're the one refusing the room. I asked him why they allowed me to book a room when they don't have space to park in the parking lot. He said the amount of space in the parking lot was not their problem and they don't control where people park. I called hotels.com this morning and they refunded me for the room and were great. I'll keep using hotels.com because of their response to this issue. But I don't recommend anyone book this hotel until they figure out how to fix their parking lot and staff."

"Gym was excellent. Breakfast was fresh and good. The condition of the rooms and property were excellent as well."

"Bathroom was clean & excellent. The pool was nice. But barely heated so not as enjoyable as i would have liked. Per staff this is due to their rules. "

"We went to visit TT for the first time and we decided in the embassy suites because they are pet friendly and we had our dog, we are also a family of 5 so we need more space and the fact that they have separate areas is a plus for us. The hotel is clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. They free breakfast was also great, and the courtesy drinks for the happy hour were great. Property it’s not new and you can tell as soon you step in but we had a good time. "
