"Although it was not easy to drive to the resort from Dar es Salaam (especially with our RAV4), our family had a wonderful stay there and is definitely willing to go back there. As many reviews of Tripadvisor already mentioned, the foods in the resort were fantastic. "We honeymoon’ed at My Blue Hotel for 6 days and loved it! The hotel property is beautiful and clean. We chose the half board option, and really enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel. There are also several nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner that are walking distance.
Furthermore, the staff were lovely. We had a smooth check in and check out experience and the cleaning staff left cute designs with towels and flowers on our bed for our honeymoon.
The rooms were good - had everything you need including bug nets! Staff would also spray the room in the evening to keep bugs away which was greatly appreciated.
The view of the beach was great and we didn’t have any issues getting a beach chair to sit on at any time of the day.

"Nice resort. Good food. Large rooms with nice showers and plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Security around the property made me feel safe. Beach is nice when the tide is out. Lots of lounge chairs available. Workers all over the property cleaning, raking, trimming the trees/bushes. Very well maintained public spaces. "

"Owner of this hotel Sebastian and his wife goes far and beyond our expectation. We’re friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was awesome every day and air conditioning was superb… beach is 1 min walk and location has a lot of good restaurant. We highly recommend this place for couple and families. We had room for 4 and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Sebastian organized for us transport from airport when we arrived . He also organized tour which was reasonably priced and time wise very well calculated ( spice farm, prisoner island and Stone town) right before our departure from Zanzibar. I am glad I choose this hotel for our family of 4. We already missing Zanzibar. "
