Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Gallery, the river Seine, and the Picasso Museum are all just a moments away from 'Le Rivoli apartments'. At your doorstep is the Hotel de Ville metro stop with direct access to les Champs Elysees, l’Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, la Defense and the Gare de Lyon. You will not be disappointed if you rent this apartment! We booked our stay over 3 years ago and then had to keep postponing due to the pandemic. So, by the time we finally made it to Paris, our expectations for a great trip were very high. This apartment and location exceeded all of them! The photos do not lie. It is located right on rue de Rivoli with a spectacular view of the Hotel de Ville and Notre-Dame. It is incredibly spacious (over 800 feet!) and the bedrooms are spaced apart, so you have privacy. There is air conditioning! There is an elevator!! (it begins on the 2nd floor for Americans, so 1 flight of stairs with your bags) We spent so much time in the apartment just watching the activities in the place outside of the Hotel de Ville or just watching Paris walk/ride by. Jean-Michel and his grandson are incredibly kind, helpful and accommodating. They are both just a phone call away. I would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again! Merci beaucoup!! ##### Amy A. It was in the mix of the hustle and bustle of Paris, has a wonderful view across the Hotel de Ville to Notre Dame, has a metro stop 5 metres from the front door. Yet the apartment was secure and quiet. There is a cookie shop below the apartment and the wonderful smell wafted up occasionally.We travelled with our 2 teenage sons and the apartment was perfect for all of us. Plenty of space, well organised, lots of character, clean and very comfortable.Jean-Michel is a very organised and responsive host. He was a pleasure to deal with.I have never stayed in the Marais district but it was fantastic. So close to everything. I will definitely look to stay here again the next opportunity we have to return to Paris.Tip: stairs to the first level and then there is a small lift. The location is perfect—you can lie in bed and look at Notre Dame out of your window! The apartment itself is quintessentially French from the wood floors to the furniture to the architecture. The exceptions: modern bath and kitchen with new top of the line appliances and EXCELLENT air conditioning. As an ice tea lover, I especially appreciated the icemaker in the frig door! Jean-Michel has overlooked nothing in creating a comfortable, beautiful home for his guests and is readily available for any questions. We never wanted to leave. ##### Patti L. I could not have been more impressed with the location, quality of the apartment, and the owner’s attentiveness. This was my family’s first time to Paris, and if we return we will certainly book this exact property. As much as you know you need to leave this space each day to see all that Paris has to offer, you almost want to stay in to enjoy the apartment for the view from the bedrooms and living room. We were within walking distance of Notre Dame, as well as many restaurants and shops. A wonderful grocery store around the corner where we stocked up on breakfast items, drinks, (including french wine, of course) and food, as needed,The apartment was SPOTLESS and just as described and pictured in the listing. Our host was accessible by phone as needed, however his pre-trip information was accurate and easy to follow, and we did not have the need to contact him during our stay.He has put together a "guide book" for both the apartment and the neighborhood, which was waiting for us on the kitchen table when we arrived. It was VERY helpful and he is clearly an experienced host. We would recommend this apartment and neighborhood for anyone considering a stay in Paris. Everything about the apartment exceeded expectations. It was easy to find, spotlessly clean, well stocked and comfortable. This apartment blew us away how beautiful it was and what an amazing view and location it was in! It's a quintessential French looking apartment with herringbone wood floors, tall ceilings, French furniture and shuttered windows that fully open up and overlooks Place de L'Hotel de Ville. The kitchen was fully stocked, with a Nespresso maker, regular coffee maker and electric tea kettle. They even left a nice basic of snacks! The bathtub was huge and amazing (bring your bubble bath!), a large shower with a rain shower head, plus a heated towel warmer. Jean-Michel was a wonderful host, answered all my questions quickly and was so kind. The instructions in the booklet in the apartment, were very thorough for everything you need. The appliances were all new. The only thing there wasn't, was a stove, but the microwave had a 'crisper' option, which I didn't really use, but it helped with warming up our croissants. The area is incredible! Half a block from the BHV department store, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby as well as a Metro stop right out front! It was so convenient. The beds were incredibly comfortable too! There was a portable heater as we were there in November so it was nice to use from time to time. We felt it was spacious and had a slider door to close off the 2 twin beds/ dining area from the living room area. We absolutely had the BEST time and this apartment was incredible!
