Rue des Rosiers is a narrow lively street where cafés, modest and not-so-modest restaurants jostle for space with designer boutiques and Jewish delis - a street of contradictions. A favorite of Parisians and tourists alike, the heart of the Jewish quarter. On weekends the street becomes crowded with ambling pedestrians. Within 5-15 mins walk you can visit 17th c Place des Vosges, Picasso Museum, Museum of the History of Paris, Ile St Louis, Ile de la Cité, Notre Dame, Left Bank and the Louvre - just for starters ! Grocery, bakers, delicatessens on doorstep, and supermarkets 5 mins walk. Our apartment is in a small very typical old building on the 1st floor and has pleasant contemporary furnishings. Recently entirely refurbished to a good standard by its Italian architect owner, with an attractive color scheme of ‘washed-out orange’ and light green, polished parquet floor with rugs. The windows overlook the street and are double glazed. This apartment (approx 40m²) has a real double bed in a sleeping area separated by Japanese style sliding panels ; large walk in closet. The living room provides a sofa/convertible for 2 persons. Small well designed Kitchen area with cooktop, frige (freezer), microwave, all kitchen ustensils, dishwasher. Good Shower room with WC, washing machine. Linen & towels supplied. Electric radiators. WIFI connection & tv. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und die Umgebung ist quirlig und lebendig, trotzdem ist es nachts ruhig. Das Szeneviertel Marais liegt direkt vor der Tür, Seine und Bastille sind auch nicht weit. We left after 30 mins of trying to find snother place.. VRBO refused to assist with the problem, ill try expedia next. Asked for a refund snd nothing. Do not rent if you like basic necessities. El armario de la cocina de la basura estaba roto. El sofá cama roto, las sabanas del sofá cama sucias, muy sucias. El sofa cama era muy viejo y estaba roto. No se podía cerrar, con lo que habiendo ido 3 personas para 1 mes , no tuvimos un sofá donde poder estar descansando. La lavadora funcionaba a días, nunca llegó el tecnico que dijeron que vendría. Por otra parte las personas con las que estuvimos en contacto para cambiar el sofá cama sólo nos marearon, sabiendo de antemano que no lo iban a cambiar y eso estando todo el mes de mayo a la espera. The place was beautiful and makes you feel a part of the city. Communication was easy and straightforward with Samuel and I would recommend this place to anyone, especially if it is your first time in Paris, as it was ours. ##### Matthew L. The location is amazing, the neighbourhood is spectacular. The only down side is being surrounded by amazing restaurants means a lot of noise 24 hours a day. If we had earplugs we as in the adults would have slept a lot better, the kids didn’t hear a thing! Great fantastic amazing stay. Very good location, the street had lots of nice cafes and restaurants as well as a very popular falafel place. Can get quite hot in the apartment and a bit noisy at night but with the windows shut not much noise can be heard. Would highly recommend and was easy for 4 friends with a large couch bed. ##### Mia N. The location can’t be beat! Close to excellent shopping and cafes! Walking distance to many places including the Notre Dame! Apartment was roomy enough considering we pretty much went there to shower and sleep! Highly recommend this place for a short stay in beautiful Paris. ##### Nikki M. Rue des Rosiers as an adorable little thru street with some really lovely shops and restaurants. You are in the heart of the Marais with easy access to all the tourist attractions. The apartment was lovely, clean and spacious. Rue des Rosiers can be busy at times but we never found the noise to be disruptive, other than some light construction in the AM.
