It was still pretty hot on this stay, but we found the Bonham reservoir ( it’s 15• cooler up there, but a rough road). We love getting away there. It’s nice to spend all day together in nature and we came back better for it. We have noticed that rocks that surround the property get hard on the puppy feet after a day. So we may try dog shoes there next time."

"This was the 2nd time in three years we've stayed here. I stayed with my adult kids in 2023 and now with my spouse in 2026. I love cooking and the kitchen is well equipped. [TO OTHER GUESTS: If you stay at a property with a kitchen, please DO NOT return used dishes/silverware back after 'washing' them yourself. The reason the host asks us to leave the used but washed dishes in the rack is so they can see what was used and ensure those things are clean. We found several dishes and pieces of silverware that were put back less than clean. I don't blame the host. This one is on us - the guests.] I always wash kitchen items before using them when I travel, so it's not a big deal. We love staying here and we plan to do so in the future."
