The hosts were outstanding—welcoming and incredibly thoughtful, even stocking the kitchen with essentials so we didn’t have to run to the store right away. The place was spotless, making it a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. While the bed was a bit too firm for me, my husband found it perfect. The only minor things to note are that the toilet occasionally made a little noise due to an occasional leak, and the property has hard water—not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of. A comfortable one bedroom apartment above a detached garage gives you privacy, while the owners were still responsive in a timely manner to texts for any questions or issues that arose. A little out in the country and on a farm, so makes for a quiet & peaceful stay, with the occasional moo from some nearby cattle. But well situated for activities, only about 20 minutes between Glenwood Springs (where we hit the hot springs) and Rifle Falls and Rifle Gap State Parks, where we got in some hiking and photography.
