« We had a lovely time relaxing at Maureen’e cottage for the weekend. Sitting in the garden, taking in the mountain view, and listening to the surrounding wildlife was the perfect respite from hectic city life. As artists, we felt right at home among the artwork and vintage treasures around the house. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the Village Diner, and loved exploring the Saugerties Lighthouse Trail - only ten minutes away! Thank you Maureen for a wonderful stay. - Dave and Alie »

« The country setting provided a quiet retreat. The home is well equipped: plenty of beds, multiple gathering places, pool with towels (although it was pretty cold until the pool guy came and provided help). « Communication with host was top notch. The home is beautifully decorated (however probably not young children friendly as furnishings are light and airy, lots of light colors). The pool is wonderful and gets great sun. One caveat, not a good fit if you have mobility issues (I don't, I like the stairs and the exercise! But it would be rough if you have bad knees). « Very peaceful location in our favorite Hudson Valley town, sweet Saugerties! The property manager was extremely responsive, the neighbors were very nice — one even recommended a local swimming hole — and the house was very cute and unique. We loved waking up to the sound of birds and the sunrise over the Hudson. We also loved being able to walk into the village center for dinner and ice cream. The house was clean, comfortable, and we very much enjoyed our stay. »
