SLP14126 The Space: The bay beach directly across the street allows guests full-on views of not only the bay, but portions of Lido Island, Balboa Island, Linda Isle and the city - plus the mountains, on a clear day. The spacious living area has large glass sliding doors that provide incredible views. The large kitchen and roomy side deck plus two car garage parking, make this property desirable with or without the views! And the ocean is just steps away. The upper-level living room takes up the entire front of the home and has a long balcony with chairs, all the better to enjoy sweeping views of the area. A couch, loveseat and additional seating, plus wall-mounted flat panel TV provide a comfortable setting for gathering together to share the day experiences. A dining area has a large wooden table and eight chairs for family meals. The efficient kitchen has plenty of cabinet space and granite counters for meal preparation. A smaller breakfast room off the kitchen and side deck seats four, with an adjacent half bath. Sliders here open to the patio with table and chairs and a gas barbecue. \*Please note there is a small apartment connected to the home, it is not available for rent\* The home has four ground floor bedrooms. A king bed graces the bay view master bedroom with ceiling fan and en suite bath. The first guest room also has a king bed, ceiling fan and a door into the adjacent hall bath. The third bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite bath. The fourth bedroom is open to the stairway to the second floor and hallway and shares the hall bath. This retro bathroom has an original tub and tiling in vintage peachy-pink! An indoor laundry room just off the garage has a full-size washer and dryer. Fireplaces are decorative only. The large side deck on the second story is furnished with table and chairs and propane barbecue. It's terrific for meals and also allows for great air circulation throughout the entire upstairs. The front deck has chairs for enjoying views of the bay. The ground floor patio with wrought iron furniture is terrific for people watching at street level. The home has a two-car garage. Ten-acre Marina Park, is just five blocks away, with The Lighthouse Restaurant, an outdoor fitness circuit, basketball courts and picnic area allows visitors to soak up city and bay views. With both piers close by and the Balboa fun zone near, the area offers boundless options for family fun! Great view of the harbor, but the house is very dated, especially the kitchen and bath. Sleeps 8, but you have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the rest of the house. All the non-stick cook wear except for 1 had scrapes throughout the non-stick surface. The cooking utensils had food still stuck on them from the previous guests. With the cook wear provided you really can't cook for 8\. There are no toiletries provided and only 1 roll of paper towels for the entire stay. The upstairs bathroom faucet has the hot water and cold water handles mixed up, so the hot water is on the right and cold on the left. They have very hot water, so almost everyone burned themselves when they turned on the water to wash their hands, thinking it was the cold water. The furnace was not working and when we called maintenance in the middle of the night because we could smell an odor, we were told they would come, but they never did, even after 2 calls in the middle of the night, so we had to turn off the furnace in the middle of the night in December when the temperature was 40F. When we arrived, we had to make our own beds with the linens and bedding that was provided in a saran wrapped and put on each bed. There were not enough blankets and pillowcases provided, so we had to call the next day for more. Which made our 1st night a horribly cold night since the furnace wasn't working and there weren't enough blankets. The TV doesn't work, it turns off and on and does not connect to the internet, so you can't watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. Lastly, for check-out, after paying over $400 in cleaning fees, we were told we needed to take out the trash, remove all bedding and linens and place them by the door and wash the dishes. We loved the view of the harbor, but won't be renting this place for our next stay. ##### Anna A.
