"The room was lovely, as was the whole property. It is in a historic building which has been very tastefully renovated. The owner updated the property while keeping the lovely historic details. The downtown area surrounding it was walkable to shops and restaurants and we felt very safe enjoying our walks in the area. The place felt comfortable yet spacious. The property is on a busy downtown street, so there will be some traffic noise. The owner thoughtfully provided noise-cancelling white noise machines and earplugs in each bedroom, for those who may be bothered by the traffic noise. We enjoyed our stay at the Woodford and will likely book there again if we are in the area. "

"Location was fantastic! Very quiet and comfortable place to stay for our weekend get away! If you’re in this area this place is where you want to stay! You won’t be disappointed "

"Starting with the good:Our room was very nice, clean and great breakfast. Downside issue was we were awoke by some type alarm shortly after midnight and we could not figure it out. Then shortly after we received a call from the desk asking us if we were ok because it was showing at the desk a fire alarm was going off. We confirmed no alarm currently ringing but told them of the ringing noice we heard moments earlier. Then shortly after our TV turned on twice by itself. It was very difficult to go back to sleep after that so it was not a restful night. They didn’t seem to know anything about it at the desk in the morning when I asked them what happened in the morning. Haunted???"

"We had a fabulous time in one of your beautifully restored suites at The Woodford Hotel. We were taking my 90 year old mother for a little get-away weekend, and your place ticked all of the boxes! Elevator to get to our suite on the second floor of a very old, but beautifully restored building. Check! A very clean, unique and lovely appointed suite. Check! We stayed in the Wild Turkey Suite--each suite had a theme of a local Kentucky distillery! We LOVED the taxidermy turkey on the mantle over the fireplace! He was beautiful! The host/owners thought of everything we might need--down to the individually wrapped q-tips in the bathrooms! Nice to have a little kitchenette, too! Our suite had 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths which was so nice as well. The host/owners were great to work with and the communication with them was excellent! They were quick to answer every question! The Woodford Hotel is on the main street of Versailles so guests are within a short walk or drive to any kind of dining establishments and darling little shops. We had a great stay, and I have already recommended this special place to friends and family! "
