Room was clean, Staff were super. Food was good. Missed the hot tub - never saw it. One minor suggestion would be to install even the smallest of space heaters into the rooms to help take the chill and dampness out on those cool nights and mornings. It was about 15C during our visit.

Our interests were mainly in the forest reserves, wildlife, birds, and scenery. I was worried that Monteverde is just too popular and busy these days and it is quite busy but it is still very enjoyable. The Curi Canchi reserve was especially good.

The hotel Fardo Vela was wonderful. It was very affordable even though the restaurant was a little more expenses then surrounding restaurants. The meals were fabulous, the pool and 2 jacuzzis were great and so was the walking pass.

The driving and crowds were a a little more hectic than I expected, but we visited Santa Elena Reserve and walked around the streets during our stay and we had a great time. Casas del Toro is beautiful!
