« The inn was charming and very comfortable. The breakfast was not only delicious, it was a feast! Each room as well as all the common areas were beautifully appointed with so many interesting touches of decor... the attention to detail was entertaining and simply delightful. I highly recommend The Lodge at Grant's Trail. My husband and I would definitely enjoy staying there again, next time we're in the St. Louis area. »

Steep rocky stairs outside, so a warning those with physical handicaps climbing. Albeit, this is a historic location (including the stairs) and that is also the beauty of it. « We loved the stay but in being honest, there was a few things that we would like to mention. Thats what these are for, so I hope this is ok. My friend and I are pushing 70, I am disabled with cancer and we found that with our room being upstairs, with luggage the climb was really hard for us. The parking was confusing with no organized method of parking. Our window view was of the parking lot. BUT, on the good side, it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed at.
