Home made cookies at the front desk, breakfast made to order, wine and cheese social - these are just some of the small cozy touches that make the Inn at Playa del Rey an amazing place to stay. And the staff including Ken and Sean are so welcoming. I will definately stay here again. Rooms are okay but could not get the heat to regulate correctly so we were either cold or hot the entire stay. No longer cookies baking nor in your room at checkin with that nice note welcoming us back. Breakfast is ok. Gone are the coffee cake and soufflé. Always liked the leftovers with coffee in the afternoon. Wine and cheese was alright. Got better the second night. A bit more cheese and even some salami. Only wine. No water or tea. Overall it is a fine place but the charm is gone. It always felt like someone’s home. Now it is just another hotel. Expensive for the value. Said good bye to this place.
