The property Manager was friendly and attentive to all our requests, the room was cleaned and bed made daily by the staff and the location was minutes from Universal Studios which was nice. Will stay again when in the area.

Great location,. Room seemed recently refurbished. Fresh appearance inside.clean, new looking bathroom. Walking distance to many very nice restaurants and bars. Parking is extremely tight.

Staff was very accommodating and allowed us early check in since we were going to Universal Studios for the Halloween special event. Place was older but has been recently upgraded and they did a really good job. Not the Ritz but if you just need a nice clean place to sleep while in LA. Worth the price. Only about 2 minutes from Universal.

Checking in/out was easy. After a long day of walking, it was great to stay somewhere near universal studios. The beds were not very comfortable but when you’re so tired, it wasn’t terrible. The walls and doors were dirty. The parking area and parking spots were the worst, extremely tight. People were hanging out outside smoking at night. No shampoo provided, just a couple cheap bars of soap. You get what you pay for.

Just a place to sleep, nothing special. It was clean and front desk was helpful. Parking was not easy cause the lot is very small so if you have a big vehicle it’s going to be a problem.

Just the broken microwave, but they replaced it right away and the tight parking. But the close proximity from Universal Studios was great.

First night we got there and the room smelled like a chain smoker lived there. The toilet seat was broken and the bathroom door didn’t shut. Walls were so dirty and black stuff all over them. Switched rooms Saturday morning. Room didn’t smell and looked decent. Bathroom still had hair all over it. It needs to be deep cleaned and kept up with in between guests. Will never return.

You can tell they are making changes to their rooms but the basic things you get from other places are lacking. You do get a small bar of soap but not other things are not there like tissue, shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Also if you need Ice make to stop at the 7-11 near by since some rooms don’t have a fridge. The space is clean and is great for just a night stay but I personally would not recommend for more than that. There’s parking but if someone parks wrong then space is limited. The staff interaction was basically check in and out nothing in between. They do not give you any information about the neighboring area.

Our stay was going comfortable untill after 3 days of our stay as we noticed that the microwave wasn't working then next very day we had told housekeeping about the issue and later on told the front office staff well he said that the microwave was brand new and that housekeeping always check the appliances after every check out. After 5 days of this motel taking my money they decided to do something about the microwave and decided to ask the 2nd person for his ID and asked for a 100$ deposit if we wanted to continue our stay at this motel after I already paid for the day. Blaming us for the microwave being broken is what got us to check out the very same day and then the housekeeping told me to throw out our trash isn't my job to do the housekeeping job I recommend for those that's paying for service to be cautious with Carlton motor lodge checkout
