2/10 Terrible

"We prepaid for our room. We arrived late- just before midnight after a long day of travelling. When we arrived the room was not ready. The front desk seemed to be scrambling a little but said they had two open rooms. They told me it would be ten more minutes. Forty minutes later- around 1 am- we were given a room that was less than satisfactory. The manager had mentioned that it was in need of some repairs but it was the only room they had available. I needed to get my kids to sleep so I just wanted a room. The manager apologized and said the room was less than standard and since we had prepaid- he would leave a gift card for me at the front desk in the morning. So I said I’m and we went upstairs. The bed frames were dusty, the floors wet and the outlets were falling off the wall. Again- we just needed to sleep. We left early- 7:30 am and I took the keys to the front desk. The gal said you can leave them in the desk. I explained to her that the manager was supposed to leave us something. She did not care. Shrugged and said the manager would be there at 9:30. We had a tournament all day in KC. This experience was one of the poorest I have ever had. If the manager would have done what he said- I would have left it alone. But he did not. Garesh Hospitality have tarnished the Wyndham Brand which is unfortunate. I will avoid these hotels if I can given my bad experience."

"Traveling with spouse. We stayed at this location because it was near an event we were going to. We had a king room. Walk in shower with adequate water pressure. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Checking went smoothly. Hotel seems pretty new (?) and it seemed staff was good at cleaning public areas as well. The hotel is just off of I-435 but room was quiet from road noise. Neighborhood outside of location a little questionable, but close to hotel was "okay". Breakfast was "eh". Plenty of choices, just below par....scrambled eggs almost not cooked enough, potatoes-one bite was enough. We liked the sausages. They had a waffle maker. Plus the usual cereals, beverages, and small prepackaged muffins, etc. The two fast food restaurants across the street-neither were open for breakfast. About 5-10+ minutes away we found one that was. This hotel is in a bit of a restaurant desert for any above fast food dining. We drove about 20 minutes west/north to find something decent, just fyi if looking for more than fast food. There is a Starbucks half a block away. There is a huge new Oracle office building nearby....hopefully better food choices will eventually come. There is a grocery store not far away. Also had to drive a bit to find gas stations that actually had gas. We would stay here again, overall experience was not bad enough to keep us away. I did not give more 5's because hotel cut corners where it could, a seasoned traveler will know what I mean if they stay here."

"The property was dated but fine The live person behind the front desk was very nice. The check-in was done through a kiosk in the lobby, so you’re yelling your information at somebody else on the screen to check in while there’s a live person behind the desk that seems ridiculous to me and I will never do a kiosk check-in again also I had already paid for the room when I got there they wanted $100 deposit which would fall off fine no biggie but instead they charged me $300 in deposits and they did not fall off. They posted to my account. So far I have not got my money back, we were there for less than 24 hours for a ball game."
