"I had 2 rooms booked and unfortunately I had to cancel 1 before making it. The day shift received a call from Expedia and agreed to let us cancel 1 room and refund it back to us. That was great and appreciated. Expedia confirmed I still had 1 room left to check into. So okay the closer we got from Texas to Kansas we ran into a bad storm and it slowed us down so I called the hotel and spoke with a lady and confirm led my remaining room and then asked her would it be okay if I arrived at 11 due to storm having us behind schedule and she informed me she that my room was still there and as long as I arrive before 2am I could check in. Okay fast forward get to the hotel I guess Ram is the night auditor and he said he was sold out of rooms and I was showing him that I had 2 reservations and 1 was cancelled but I still had one. He then tells no he only see one reservation and it was cancelled. I advised him I spoke with the lady on shift before him and she confirmed I still had a reservation wayyyy after I cancelled with Expedia at 3pm. He continues to say Expedia is lying and I only had 1 reservation. To began with. I said sir im not about to argue with you. My fiance just told me to contact expedia and dont worry about it. Hotels were sold out due to stuff going on this weekend. I know how it go. Frontdesk will cancel by a certain time thinking 3rd party reservation is not going to show and you sale the room again to get 100% occupancy guaranteed. Ram is rude as ever."

"hotel was clean and smelled clean. wish the hot tub had been up and running. the beds were very hard and sheets torn and needed replaced. water pressure was good. breakfast was sufficient."

"Area feels run down. Breakfast served in crockpots…biscuits in one were soggy, gravy burned and eggs tasted off maybe due to the condensation kept in the crockpot by by the glass tops. Not a lot of variety. The hotel just felt dated and aged. Would look elsewhere the next time we go to KC. "

"Staff were great, but the property is one to steer clear of. Old and nasty. Mold at base of shower exclosures. Floors uneven and carpet very worn. Beds are way too soft. Hot tub was warm, but no pressure at jets or option to turn jets up beyond a “circulate” only speed. Stayed there because of the rate and animal friendly. Will not stay there again. ."

"When we got to our room, we noticed that most of the outlets on the walls did not work. We had to switch the plugs for two of the lamps so they would actually turn on. The only outlets in the bedroom we found that worked were the outlets in the bedside lamps. BOTH bedside and desk phones did not work. Bedside phone rang, beeped a few times and disconnected. The desk phone in the living space didnt work. We later found out that the neither of them were connected to the right port. The fire alarm in our room went off for a solid minute. No one was cooking or smoking, so we were a wreck trying to figure out what was happening. (That's how we found out the phones didn't work. I can't imagine if it was an actual emergency.) People at the desk were passive aggressive and dismissive. After we brought our concerns to them about the phones and smoke detectors, they just said they'd call maintenance and brushed us off. They don't have actual privacy curtains that close on the second floor. They have a sheer curtain, and that's it. Privacy (from the shower, to the bedroom & living space) didn't feel like and option for our room. We had an upstairs neighbor who stomped around during quiet hours that woke us up multiple times. We let it go the first night, but the second night was worse. I called the front desk and all that was said was they tried calling before from other people complaining and could try to call again. Nothing changed. To their credit, the room was clean."
