Kimpton Fitzroy London Overview: The hotel is visually stunning both externally and internally. It is and feels like a 5 star hotel. Great location for the British Museum, UCL and walking distance from London Euston, Kings Cross and Eurostar, with a tube stop right outside the hotel. Fitz restaurant was a nice way to spend and evening and start the day. The staff were attentive and venison/wine was perfect! Room: Room was cosy and has all the facilities you’d expect, although quite tight on space - great for a night, but too small for a weekend or two people as the space for luggage is taking valuable space. I had a standard Queen room, which was overlooking the interior (not a nice view at all, but if you are there for business, as I was, it didn’t impact my stay). Bed and pillows comfortable and had a really good night sleep - was so quiet! Summary: I’d definitely recommend the hotel, for business and weekend travel (book a larger room). Hotel staff were excellent, hotel was impeccable and for such a large hotel, it never felt crowded.

We spent Christmas eve and Christmas at the Kimpton Fitzroy and have no regrets. Such a classy establishment. Every inch of the facility is dripping in design. You want to spend time there. We had a wonderful time trying out creative cocktails in the bar on Christmas night and enjoyed our chat with the bartender. Everyone there was absolutely lovely. I would recommend it to anyone and I will definitely stay there again.
Christmas exploded all over the lobby and every common area. It was magical.
We were treated to a Christmas stocking on our door when we woke up Christmas morning. Such a nice tough.

We paid for a park view and got one with a beautiful view of the British Museum. However, the particular room we were assigned was tiny. (Rm 500) I think that was just bad luck. The hotel was gorgeously decorated for Christmas. A nice classic older hotel. There is a tube station right around the corner from the hotel but we mostly walked everywhere. The Bloomsbury neighborhood had some cute bars and restos. The cocktail lounge at the hotel was really nice, but we had poor service both nights we stopped in. Had to ask for our check multiple times and it wasn't that they were that busy maybe just understaffed.

Being able to check into our room early really got our stay off to a great start as we were arriving after a long flight. The staff were very kind, friendly and anxious to help in any way. The fluffiness of the towels was another level and everything about the hotel spoke of quality and attention to detail.

Every staff member (except for one bar person who perhaps was having a bad day) was fantastic. Really friendly, engaging and interested in the guests. They clearly wanted guests to enjoy their experience while in the hotel. Our room was perfect, beautifully decorated and very relaxing after a day out. We couldn't have had a better time. The only niggle was with working out the final bill at checkout. The itemisation was unclear and we had been charged for items we hadn't ordered (or told were comped). This was dealt with without issue at reception but shouldn't have been necessary. I'd recommend, if you charge drinks/ food to your room, to ask for a full printout for each day. Otherwise you're just presented with a total and expected to guess if it's correct. My suggestion to management would be to improve this step to ease the checkout process. I would highly recommend staying here!
