Everything was amazing. The breakfast, the rooms, the all day coffee, , cleanliness, games in the lobby….everything was perfect. The location was in Midtown not downtown, but it was a very easy bus ride anywhere you needed to go. Also many tour companies pick up right in front of the building.

This dome was perfect! Very clean which is the most important to me. It had all the essentials, extra blankets and the beds were comfortable. The host was super responsive and sent delivered more wood for us quickly. The town of Selfoss is 5-6 kilometers and has nice dining options. My family enjoyed our stay very much and will be coming back!

The room itself was beautiful—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed to be both cozy and luxurious after long days of exploring Iceland. But the real showstopper? Sitting in the hot tub while watching the northern lights dance across the sky. It’s hard to put into words just how surreal and unforgettable that experience was—truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment that I’ll carry with me forever. On top of that, the staff was exceptional. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, they went out of their way to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect. You could feel how much they cared about creating an incredible experience for their guests. If you’re looking for a place in Iceland that combines comfort, breathtaking scenery, and outstanding service, this is it. I can’t recommend it highly enough—and I would return in a heartbeat.

By far our stay exceeded our expectations in every way. The breakfast was amazing in its variety and portions. The room set up was perfect for our family of four (2 bed 2 bath apartment) The Reykjavík Residence is wonderfully situated in walking distance of all downtown attractions and tours. I cannot recommend highly enough.
