"We loved our stay at the Sunset Cottage! It was one of our favorite places we stayed during our 10 days in Iceland. The cottage itself is located over a hill, several hundred meters away from the main buildings, and provides s lot of privacy. It was quiet and clean with wide open views of the countryside. We had breakfast on our last day \~$21USD/person), and it was great. We also ate at the restaurant onsite for several dinners so that we could enjoy the lovely waterfall view and delicious food....

Sitting in the hot tub while watching the northern lights dance across the sky. It’s hard to put into words just how surreal and unforgettable that experience was—truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment that I’ll carry with me forever. On top of that, the staff was exceptional. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, they went out of their way to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect. You could feel how much they cared about creating an incredible experience for their guests. If you’re looking for a place in Iceland that combines comfort, breathtaking scenery, and outstanding service, this is it. I can’t recommend it highly enough—and I would return in a heartbeat."
