The restaurant and evening Bar Staff were beyond excellent. The rooms need better cleaning and repairs.

We loved our stay at Hotel French Coco from the warm welcome to our own private plunge pool. The staff were very accommodating and kind and the gardens were beautiful (we saw many species of birds during our stay). The breakfasts were delicious with a good variety of options (although I mistakenly though that « breakfast included » covered the cooked options as well). The hotel is within five minutes of a beautiful, natural beach and several different options for meals. We also enjoyed the proximity to the beautiful hike around the peninsula- highly recommend! One small point is that the sound does travel between rooms so if you are a light sleeper, it’s a good idea to have some ear plugs.

Very spacious room , in fact, more than an efficiency! I was very happy with my stay !

To be clear, I base this on the north american standards I am used to. The front desk staff was not very welcoming or friendly, however check in was fairly quick. The code for the internet was posted on a sign at the front desk and when i asked about it, he said to take a picture. The internet only worked in the lobby or the bar...not in the rooms. We went to order a pizza and were told we cant place a call from our room. They did dial the number from the front desk for us. The pool and outside bar area were lovely!! Nice to sit up there and have a drink in the warm air. There is a $46 charge on my credit card (on top of the room charge) that might be some sort of tourist tax??? I have no clue as it was not explained. The room was clean and functional and we were only there one night so it suited our needs. It is dated and felt cramped, but we did have a small table and chairs that we appreciated. I felt the price we paid was too high for what we got, but again, used to hotels in Canada and the US.
