« When staying at a historic inn or hotel, I want to see some history. My husband and I enjoyed reading the old news clippings and historic details on the walls. The room, furnished with antiques, was very clean; nothing was sticky and the only noticeable dust was on the TV stand. Breakfast was in a pretty dining room. They accommodated our toddler by giving her cushions to sit on, milk in a child-sized cup, and a straw. »

« Bridge to some stuff was out, walked a mile to eat really good pizza. B&B experience. Owner/Operator super nice and helpful but it’s staying in someone’s house… the details/rules/etc. Room was comfy, had hose/towels for bikes. Breakfast was delicious. If you are after the B&B experience, this place is great. If you’re staying here because you can’t find a hotel, it’s more B&B than Inn. »

« The Paddler's Retreat is REALLY out of the way. We enjoyed our stay however, people need to understand that all services are limited. Due to Covid there is only a very limited breakfast, mostly cold. If you want tea, you will need to use the microwave. The range is not available. Furthermore, the options are more limited for dinner. There is only a gas station / limited eatery that stop serving at 6:30pm. The little town, Confluence is about 5 miles away. After that you are out of luck. There...

« This is a wonderful property! Everything was very clean and the house was beautiful. We loved the family touches throughout the house. Dawn, the host was excellent! She had treats for us and was very hospitable. She came and met us and gave us a personal tour! She was awesome! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who is in the area. »
