"Cabin in the woods....what more could you ask. It was quiet and in a beautiful setting. Food in the restaurant was standard bar food but it was hot and tasty. Bar staff was courteous and efficient, even when tasked with a rowdy party of about 20 people. They were loud but respectful and the staff took it in stride. Only spent one night in our travels through the area but would stay again."

"Property was very nice. Very close to the new river gorge bridge & lots of great hiking trails. Breakfast was very nice and we ate dinner one night at the restaurant there and it was good. Lots of locals there. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Staff were great to talk with about the area. We would stay there again"

"This was the second Hampton Inn I stayed in during my recent trip. Both places, including this one and the one in Hendersonville NC had dogs that were barking near my room. For this hotel I told the staff and they paid a visit or called since the barking stopped. I don't agree with the pet friendly policy, I'm allergic to dogs and cats and the last thing I want to hear is barking while on vacation. Otherwise it was a very nice stay but not sure I will stay at any more Hamptons."

"Great cabin. Very clean. There was a problem with the hot water/pressure in shower only, but it was Bridge Day weekend, so options were slim. When the owners get that corrected, it will be perfect for next renters."

"We enjoyed our "cabin in the woods" stay during Bridge Day festivities. We were able to walk from the cabin...2.2 miles to avoid parking and crowds. The house was organized and clean. The hot tub needs attention...the top cover is worn and the lining inside the cover had deteriorated allowing small pieces of the lining to fall into the tub. The folding of the cover was a bit of a struggle to push up to enter the tub. Directions posted did not lessen the situation. Since the hot tub was something we were looking forward to after our 8 mile hike...it was a bit of a disappointment."
