Walking distance to so many temples, gardens, steps from the Geisha district, shopping & restaurants. The pictures I saw on google maps of the street and immediate surroundings looked a little iffy, but it was just fine, and very quiet. The hotel was absolutely spotless and very comfortable; the staff fabulous, and the small restaurant well run with a very decent breakfast at a reasonable price. It is also only a short block from a 7/11 C-store and a tad further to a small Fresco market, which was handy. Our room included a private bath, garden, and sauna—it felt like our own little sanctuary. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and every detail of the room was beautifully designed. We especially appreciated the complimentary coffee, matcha, and other thoughtful touches. They even gifted us a beautiful locally made tote bag that supports a great cause—such a special gesture. We truly wish we had stayed longer and highly, highly recommend this hotel.
