"Our stay at Winchester Lodge was for 3 nights. Overall, we were pleased with our room and the amenities. Everything was clean and well above ordinary box chain hotels, which is exactly what I was wanting (a bed and breakfast type experience) Positives: *loved the jacuzzi tub in our room! Probably the most relaxing aspect of our trip! * friendly, welcoming staff * very convenient to main street of Fredericksburg * beautiful pool and sitting area *excellent breakfasts delivered to our room without disturbing us in the morning! Negatives: * no vent in bathroom with jacuzzi tub made lots of steam and condensation getting everything wet. Really need ventilation. *rusty shower curtain rod and curtain rings wouldn't close easily coming off the curtain made a struggle to close the curtain when using shower. *only was able to swim in pool once due to rowdy guests drinking beer and vaping getting louder as they drank(brought a cooler for the purpose). Making it unpleasant to be in the pool at all. *loud music blaring in the parking lot during the afternoon, made resting very difficult in our room. * tree trimming and washing building(maintenance) very loud on our roof the day we departing. Glad it didn't happen during our first days at the lodge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this motel, but there were some drawbacks."
