The room, breakfast, and staff were excellent but the parking was problematic in that there simply wasn't enough. The towns of Houghton and Hancock were interesting and the mining history of the area was fascinating. Napoleon at the front desk was accommodating and thoughtful even when he was the only person at the desk on a very busy weekend. 10 stars for him!!

Enjoyed our time in Houghton and would definitely stay at the Hampton Inn again. Really liked the idea of a Hampton Inn with a bar on site.

BEWARE!! I was in the area for business. A change in plans forced me to cancel my reservation a few days after I made the reservation (through Expedia) and many days prior to my anticipated stay. I was informed that the reservation had been cancelled and had a confirmation from Expedia. On the day of my cancelled reservation I get a notice from Expedia asking me about my stay. I called to discover that the reservation had in fact not been cancelled. Expedia informed me that there was no evidence of the cancellation and that I would be responsible for the full amount of the reservation (4 days). I was further informed by Expedia that the property manager would not consider either a refund or a date change! Do not stay here! These people do not appear to be honest and they certainly do not care about their guests.

Great place to stay! Clean and had enough towels. Decor is modern. Walking distance to numerous dinner options. There is a pool and a restaurant of sorts in the hotel. Breakfast is provided. Mattress wasn’t the greatest and the room needs blackout curtains. Katherine at the front desk was helpful and kind. I’d stay here again!

Best Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed at. This hotel felt very new and clean. The pool and hot tub was excellent. Service was impressive. The penthouse lounge was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel.
