"ホテルの顔である玄関の自動ドアの電源が切れてて、手動を強要してる。 Wifiが使えるか聞いたら、ロビー近くしか使えないといわれた。にも拘わらず部屋にランケーブルも無ければ、言わないと貸してくれない。大荷物持ってるのに階段でどうぞ！と言われた。（エレベーターもあるのに） 部屋の鍵が解りにくいのに説明なし。（鍵を回しながらドアを押さないと開かない）ホテルの門限23時。 歴史的には有名な地である点と川の中州に建てられたホテルなので景色は良いけど、何もなくて不便だった… フロントも居たり居なかったり、呼び鈴を押すタイプ。 愛想は悪くなかったけど、シルバー人材センターのアルバイトって感じだった。 掃除はよくされてたけど、施設は古く快適とはいいがたかった… 眺望は良かったけど、リピートはしないな。"

"Love that this ryokan had halal meal options! The entire place is gorgeous with a beautiful view of Lake Biwa. Easy to get to (they have a shuttle bus from the train station). If you have a private onsen, just know that the shower is also outside. No other options, unless you use the public bath."

"What a beautiful experience we had at the ryokan. A perfect setting overlooking the lake, quiet, no noise from the town below. The staff was very kind and courteous, always helpful in assisting us with our questions. We learned about Japanese culture and had a wonderful experience; definitely get the dinner, it was worth it. I highy recommend this place, 10 out of 10\. We will certainly be back again next time we visit Japan. "

"Typical Toyoko Inn so there's underbed storage, inadequate curtains to keep out the light, and good climate control. The problem was I had a top floor room but there must not have been people below me for floors or something because the floor was so cold it felt refrigerated. I cranked the heater but since it's at the ceiling it heats the room top down so the floor stayed really cold, like refrigerated cold. It took until the next morning where the floor didn't feel refrigerated but still was unusually cold and not until that evening the floor finally didn't feel cold. Breakfast was really sparse, just bread and onigiri. I would prefer them to just say no breakfast and just have coffee then I would prepare by going to the conbini the night before."
