Spotless room, helpful staff, excellent amenities, comfortable bed!

Room was spotless! Staff was super friendly. Property was industrial looking but comfortable, welcoming and inviting.. amazing stay highly recommended to anyone considering this property

We stayed at The Fontaine in Kansas City for a quick staycation to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day as part of our “20 awesome things” celebration. First, the positives: the hotel’s interior design truly rivals many properties in the city. The suite itself was beautiful, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The rainfall shower was a standout feature and gave the stay a luxury feel. The surrounding area also offers plenty to do, which made it a great location for a romantic getaway. However, the service did not match the luxury presentation — especially given the holiday and milestone occasion. One of the main reasons I selected this hotel was because robes were advertised. I actually searched specifically for hotels that offered robes and chose this property for that reason. Unfortunately, we never received robes during our stay. Our reservation included a complimentary drink, but I had to ask twice before finally receiving it the following morning. I also inquired about upgrading to a champagne package, and there seemed to be confusion because I booked through Expedia, which required staff to “research” how to proceed. On checkout morning, I requested a late checkout and was unable to secure one. At one point, I called the front desk and the call was disconnected before assistance was provided.
