Clean room. No a/c, no ref, no microwave. We have medication that requires ref. Recommend to upgrade hotel accommodation. Only stayed one night because of the those conditions. Requested refund for 2 nights. Thank you for your consideration.

Liked the nearby bus connections and location walkable to Old City. Taxi stand just outside too. Breakfast was great with splendid courtyard. Luggage storage and available tea/coffee in common area opening to courtyard was convenient. Room AC was good; noticeable temperature changes between hall and other non AC spaces. We upgraded to balcony and there are some views of the tops of the mountains and building. We didn’t have much time to enjoy it though.

On the way to Salzburg from Munich, something was wrong with the train that everyone had to get off and figured out our own transportation. Upon arrival at Hotel Stein, my friend and I were hot, exhausted and a bit disheveled. Alexander at the front desk greeted us with ultimate comfort and hospitality. He offered us prosecco (which calmed our nerves) and Mozart chocolates (which cheered our mood significantly), gave us wonderful suggestions of what to do in Salzburg and was just so personable. Over the three days we were there, the most impressive was the professionalism of the staff. The location was superb as well. In the heart of Salzburg, it was easy to walk everywhere but you don’t hear any street noise while inside. Highly recommend!
