As you walk in you will notice a mosaic inlaid with flip flops... so inviting. The open floor plan feels spacious with volume ceilings throughout and is oh so comfortable. The living room has two leather couches that are right in front of the gas fireplace...bring on the ambiance! The living room also features a large flat screen TV with both HDTV and Firestick service. The kitchen is well appointed with a lot of counter space that won't disappoint anyone who loves to cook. We have both a Weber charcoal grill and a Weber gas grill for our guests to use. We have also tucked in a full size washer and dryer. The bedroom suite is very spacious with a cathedral ceiling and has a very comfortable king size bed, 2 night tables, 2 dressers, a flat screen TV, and a large walk-in closet. The full bath is to die for with a whirlpool and both indoor and outdoor showers. This home is quality built with upgraded textures including oak floors, tumble marble, & limestone accents. Unlike many Vineyard rentals, we have added central air and a garage (for those who may bring their convertible, or motorcycle). The garage also provides a great covered spot for your bicycles which we strongly encourage you to bring as we are located just off the bike path. Two people maximum, no pets, & non-smokers only, as we try to keep this property super clean and allergen free. Beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach blanket and many more conveniences are included. Perfectly located approximately 1 mile from town (Edgartown) & 1 mile to South Beach, right off the bike path. Relax on the front porch in a pair of Adirondack chairs or flex your muscles at our private basketball court which doubles as a pickleball court. Positively immaculate. We never rent our main house so my family is in tune with your enjoyment of the property. Once you rent this gem it will be hard to go anywhere else! PS: Currently all VTA (Vineyard Transit Authority) buses are free until 9/30/25\. So if you don’t wish to take your car over, you can easily get around. The house was exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained, the rooms were large, and the very high ceilings added to the feeling of spaciousness. The bathroom was outstanding - whirlpool tub, walk in shower, double sinks, separate toliet compartment. We had a rainy day and really enjoyed the gas fireplace. The location offered quiet and privacy but was convenient. We are only Sunday bikers, but in a few minutes we could bike on a bike path to Edgartown (charming architecture, cute shops and good restaurants) or to South Beach. The property is managed very professionally, and the communication with the owner was prompt and friendly. Everything was labelled so the house was easy to settle into. The home is very clean and nicely designed and furnished; kitchen is well equipped for cooking and grilling; location is great, about 2 miles from the beach and close to Edgartown. The owner kept in touch and we appreciated how responsive she was to any question we had about the island. We visited in late April, and although that is not technically “high season,” it was a lovely time to visit. The cottage is clean, well-equipped, and carefully maintained. The kitchen/living room, bedroom, and bathroom are all quite spacious. The large bathroom featured double sinks, an indoor and outdoor shower, a jetted spa tub, and a private water closet. Plus, the owner was extremely communicative, helpful, and clearly interested in ensuring the comfort of her guests. While we did not take advantage of several amenities offered at the property, others may enjoy the pickleball court with basketball hoop, garage, outdoor grills, and outdoor table and chairs. The only aspect of the layout of the cottage that may make it less than ideal for some guests is that it is not the most convenient for entertaining: there is no indoor dining table (one must eat at a kitchen counter while sitting on a stool) and guests must go through the bedroom to use the bathroom. This was the our first visit to MV, but we'll be back. And when we return, we'll have no need to search for other accommodations as this cottage was perfect for us. ##### ROBERT J. Gas fireplace is wonderful for a chilly evening and everything is set-up to relax and enjoy your time there. We cooked in a few nights and everything we needed we had. What a find! Perfect for 2 people, the spacious, beautifully furnished rooms and luxurious bathroom rivaled some of the luxury hotels we’ve stayed at in major cities. Add the bonus of outdoor shower, central A/C, location to beautiful beaches and a property manager/owner who is readily available and responsive to questions, and it’s clear that we didn’t want to leave at the end of our week. The house sits in the rear of a very large lot on which the owner’s larger family size house sits. The property boasts a beautiful lawn and a blacktop out back with a small basketball court. The house also has a garage which was helpful both for storing bikes during our stay and loading up the car when we left. The home itself is gorgeous. There is a large sunny bedroom with a king size bed and an adjoining master bath with a shower, jacuzzi tub and separate water closet. The walk-in closet is large as well. Linens (sheets and towels) are provided. The main living area has two very comfortable love seats (despite being love seats we could each lie down while watching TV). The TV has both cable and services like Netflix and Amazon. The living area adjoins the kitchen which has a four stools and a counter top eating area. There’s also a new electric range, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice maker. Everything was spotless when we arrived. Karen, the owner, was incredibly helpful both prior to and during our stay, providing “local knowledge” about some services we needed when we arrived on the Vineyard. The location was also perfect - just close enough to Edgartown downtown and to the beach. Bottom line, if you are a romantic couple (younger or older), this place was perfect - clean, well equipped, cared for, spacious, sunny, well-located and well appointed.
