Two lodging units on 40 acres. The C Diamond C Ranch is a private horse and cattle ranch with spectacular views, tall pines, acres of hiking. This ranch is perfect for your boutique style destination wedding, church or corporate retreat, family reunion or just a great get away with space!! (Events for more than the number of guests staying overnight is limited to 75 people total and an additional fee through VRBO is required) The ranch has a live stream and pond with catch and release fishing, (no swimming or boating) as well as often sighting deer, elk, hawks, and the livestock on the ranch. It is only 20 minutes form the wonderful towns and ski slopes of Angle Fire and Red River. Eagle Nest lake is only 2 miles away! The ranch sleeps 30 people in two separate lodging units about 1/8th of a mi apart. An impressive 3 -story headquarters 6-bedroom "Cabin" with two living rooms, two master suites, 5 bathrooms, sun room and loft. The second unit is a separate 2000 sq. ft. second story "Lodge" great room for eating, playing pool, watching movies, and enjoying the views with a wrap around deck. Additionally, the sleeping quarters at the Lodge unit is a detached 6- bedroom newly remodeled "bunkhouse" and large "ranch" kitchen. The bunk house has three bedrooms with a queen or full bed, one room with a queen and a single bed, one room with two sets of bunkbed (sleeps 4) and one room has one set of bunk beds (sleeps 2). There are 2 bathrooms down the hall (European style). both have toilets two sinks, two showers and one has a tub. There is also a creek that runs the entire length of the ranch and a "catch and release " fishing pond. The place was amazing and we enjoyed it very much. There was plenty of room for all 26 of us to sleep and have our Thanksgiving dinner very comfortably. We rented both the Cabin and Bunkhouse and it was very clean and comfortable. There is plenty to do around the area but also feels like a private retreat due to the size and location of the property. We enjoyed table-tennis and billiards at the lodge, and watching horses in their corral. The children would often just hang out on the couches watching television too. One night we used the outdoor fireplace near the cabin to roast some hot dogs, and marshmallows. Several of us also enjoyed fishing at the nearby state park. It was very clean when we arrived, except with the small exception that outdoor grills hadn't been cleaned.The cabin to lodge/bunkhouse distance was a little further than we would have liked. We shuttled back and forth in vehicles. The family staying in the upper floor of cabin said it was a bit too warm for their liking, but tolerable. The ground floor where my family stayed was fine. I imagine it would be better in cooler months, rather than August, or with some A/C work. The stairs leading from the bunkhouse to the lodge were a little iffy, and will likely need maintenance soon. The forested area and creek behind the cabin was definitely a favorite for the kids and teens! The large great room in the lodge was a fun gathering space! The wildflowers, views, occasional rain, trees, etc., was all enjoyable and stunning. It is a great place to relax and unwind for awhile! Lisa, the property manager, is VERY responsive and helpful!Things to be aware of: 1\. The cabin and the lodge are .25 miles apart....so a nice walk! (Or you can drive between them if you need to.)2\. ALL areas are up or down stairs, so MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS MOBILE! For example, the kitchen in the lodge is down on the ground level, but the eating space and great room is up on the second floor. In other words, you will have no trouble getting in both your "stairs" and your "steps" every day! 3\. The accommodations were amazing. The lodge is the perfect central meeting place for meals and games at night. Both the house and the Bunkhouse were perfect for our sleeping arrangements. The times we did have questions over the course of the stay, they were answered immediately. It's in a great centralized location for many activities. It is an ideal location just outside Eagle Nest and between Angel Fire and Red River. The house and bunkhouse offered plenty of room for our group of 25\. Everything was in order, but the biggest appeal is the land which offers plenty for us to do and enjoy and the surrounding beauty is amazing. It is close to a lot of hiking which is our favorite. This year, we were there on the Fourth and there was a parade in town and beautiful fireworks which we could see from the deck. The rooms fit everyone's needs and the game room was the center point for our activities. The cabin was also lovely and provided early morning wildlife viewing and a well-equipped kitchen for preparing a hearty breakfast each day. Not any fault on the location, but several members were in a love/hate relationship with the stairs (have to admit there are several floors to navigate, but worth each up/down step). The pond allowed catch-n-release fishing and spotting the 2 beavers made it even more exciting. And with the location between Eagle Nest and Red River, we had the opportunity to explore both plus Taos. There are dozens of hummingbirds and thousands of prairie dogs to watch, as well as deer and elk. We had 27 people staying at the property, from infants on up, and the property worked very well for us. The bunkhouse is about 1/4 mile from the main cabin, which is not apparent from the listing, but was a relatively easy walk along the road. The pool table, ping pong table, puzzles and dominoes provided lots of entertainment. The kitchen at the cabin had everything we needed to cook meals for everyone. Eagle Nest is a quiet, quaint town, and we enjoyed exploring it as well as Angel Fire and Red River. The hosts were responsive and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! ##### Julie W. We were a family of 26 ranging in ages from 1-68 and it was perfect for us. The house is amazing with 6 large bedrooms and a loft with 4 beds as well as multiple bathrooms. This was great for the little kids and adults. The teenagers stayed in the bunkhouse which was great. The place is in a beautiful location with mountains on both sides and plenty of wildlife. We saw deer and elk in the area and lots of prairie dogs and many bird species. There is a creek that runs through the land with a small pond. Even though it feels remote, it was only 20 minutes from Red River and Angel Fire and only a few minutes from Eagle Nest. Overall, it could not have been any better. The house was super big to fit my group of 30\. However, only downfall when you have a big group is the main house is not attached to the bunkhouse/playhouse. You have to drive down the road (still on the property) to it. The bunkhouse is attached to the playhouse/kitchen. The main house is down the road and has the bigger bedrooms. Bunkhouse has 4 full beds and the rest are bunk beds. Wish the site had all the pictures of the sleeping arrangements. Super clean and easy to talk to Elizabeth! Apr 27, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great location for a NM getaway Really great property that our group thoroughly enjoyed for a retreat! Accessible distance from Albuquerque and lots of space. Facilities are on the older side and well used but very clean and in good working order. Some notes on the layout:The cabin is about a 10 minute walk from the lodge / bunkhouse. The cabin has 6 bedrooms, one of which has a loft above it with additional bunk beds in a space which would really only be suitable for older kids. The 5 bathrooms in the cabin are a mix of en suite and stand alone. The living rooms in the cabin are moderately sized, definitely too small for our group of 25.The bigger gathering space was the upstairs of the lodge. It's one giant room so gets a bit loud but has lots to do. There is a wet bar in the big room, and then the ground floor of the lodge has an industrial type kitchen moderately well equipped. You may need to bring some implements and would need your own aluminum foil and salt and pepper etc. Not many extras available. There are two full bathrooms in the lodge.The bunkhouse as mentioned connects to the lodge externally by a staircase. There are 6 bedrooms with a mix of full beds and bunk beds. There is very little floor space available, could barely fit a pack n play for reference. There are two bathrooms in the bunkhouse (men's and women's) which have an open layout with 2 showers 2 sinks and a toilet behind a saloon-style half-door. Not easy for multi-use unfortunately.Overall great property! ##### Nolan A.
